May 7, 2007 - Iowa Machinery, a division of MH Equipment Company,  has teamed with the Iowa Cubs baseball team located in Des Moines in an effort to provide baseball fans with a ‘lift’.

Recently, the Iowa Cubs discovered that due to development in the area surrounding Principal Park that they would be losing a large portion of their available parking. While they were able to locate an area close by to help compensate for the loss, this new parking was a much further walk to the ballpark. So, the issue arose on how to provide their fans with a “lift”.

This is where we come in!

Nate Teut with the I-Cubs approached us and asked if we would be interested in providing the ballpark with some personnel carriers that they could use as shuttles to transport fans from the new parking area to the stadium. Well, thanks to our friends in Louisville, we were able to find equipment that matched their needs! So, in a three season agreement to provide the I-Cubs with the personnel carriers they needed, Iowa Machinery has traded the use of two Motrec E4808s for a variety of promotional opportunities. As you will see from the attached pictures, we have been given signage on the tarp cover along the third base wall. This is a huge sign – over 20 feet in length! In addition to the tarp cover, we also received tickets, ‘courtesy’ signage on the personnel carriers, radio advertisements slotted for each game and much more! In addition, there is also the opportunity for us to place more units in the future which will result in even more promotional opportunities!

As the second largest attraction in Iowa with an attendance of over 600,000 - This is a fantastic opportunity for Iowa Machinery! The exposure gained by this venture is sure to be great! We will continue to search for similar types of opportunities in other areas as well, but in the meantime, this should provide us a good start in our efforts to increase Iowa Machinery and MH Equipment awareness!
