John brings to MH Equipment's Training Services a lilfe time of mechanical and technical experience. Growing up in the automotive technician field with his father, he started out with an after school job cleaning parts and sweeping up the shop, eventually working as a technician for a full service dealership. John's background includes automobile repair, heavy duty highway truck (Diesel) repair, and 16 years experience in the material handling industry. During this time he served in various positions including service technician, field service liaison, shop supervisor, dispatcher and service manager. He has also attended nearly every training class that Hyster Company has offered, along with training presented by various other vendors. John is a Hyster “Elite” Certified Technician. The last six years he has served as Technical Trainer and Operator Safety Trainer for MH Equipment Company, training both in house Technicians and our customers' service personnel in the operation, diagnostics and repair of all makes and types of equipment.
Over the past few years material handling equipment has become very complex. We have progressed from very simple and basic systems that were relatively easy to diagnose and repair to “state of the art” computer controlled systems that rival anything the automotive industry has to offer. This requires a somewhat different approach to diagnosis and repair. It’s simply not good enough to guess anymore, we must take a systematic approach to the troubleshooting and repair of modern material handling equipment. It is my belief that by teaching service Technicians how various systems work, the true principles, not just which knobs to turn or which parts to replace, we will enable them to more efficiently locate and repair the problem along with teaching them to apply these principles to systems and models that are new to them. Feel free to contact John with any requests for information on MH's Training Services and technical questions on the brand of forklift you operate at your facility.
