"We have been customers of MH Equipment for all most 10 yrs. The last week explains why. In the last week, the Decatur office has helped us keep our 5 trucks running after several unexpected breakdowns. Michele relayed I was experiencing a problem to MH Equipment technician Shawn. Shawn called me back and talked me through enough diagnosing to get the truck running again. Shawn followed up with me later in the day to confirm that the truck was still running. I had PM's scheduled for other trucks when a problem developed with one of those trucks. I called Shawn because the office was closed. He relayed the message to Michele who inturn made sure the needed parts were on the truck coming to do the PM's. Craig has also helped me locate parts from old outdated part #'s and has had them in my warehouse the next day. You should be extremely proud of your staff in Decatur. They are doing a great job. In this day and age of poor or no customer service, MH in Decatur is a bright spot that other companies wish they could match. "

  • Elite Supply Chain Solutions Joins MH Logistics

Peoria, IL – February 21, 2014: Scott Hennie, President of Elite Supply Chain Solutions, has announced that as of February 1, 2014 the company will be joining MH Logistics. MH Logistics is headquartered in Peoria, Illinois and includes material handling solutions provider MH Equipment and construction equipment solutions provider MH JCB amongst its family of companies. Elite Supply Chain Solutions will continue to operate as such.

Elite Supply Chain Solutions began in January 2013 with a goal to become a strategic partner with customers in order to assist them with their overall business strategy and implement materials handling solutions that will help them further that strategy. Elite works with customers to maximize operating space, organize inventory storage, review facility layout and design, recommend equipment, and implement automation and technology.

“Companies many times are so focused on their day to day business operations they are unable to take the time to focus on long term strategies in their supply chain. This is where Elite steps in and offers long term solutions and recommendations.” states Mr. Hennie. “Furthermore, through this new opportunity with MH Logistics and its available resources, we will be able to further enhance our offerings to our customers and this is very exciting. The philosophy of MH and Elite is very synergistic and will create a win/win situation with and for our customers.”

  • Testimonial from Steve Lee

“I dealt with MH Equipment in the year 2011 when purchasing a forklift for my business. During which time, they have provided excellent support in the areas of competitive pricing, excellence in the quality of the equipment purchased, and have stood behind their word in making necessary repairs that brought the forklift to the excellent quality they had promised. Their work, commitment, and integrity have been a major factor in my recommendation of MH Equipment to be a solid and reliable supplier and experts in their field of business.”

  • MH Equipment Provides Big Assist For Salvation Army Disaster Efforts for Central Illinois

$250,000 Donation from MH Equipment/His First Foundation to be Utilized for Disaster Victims

The Salvation Army has been hard at work aiding victims in the aftermath of the devastating tornadoes that swept through central Illinois in November, and a local company is stepping forward in a big way to aid the recovery of victims.

“We are overwhelmed by the support of MH Equipment in assisting The Salvation Army with recovery efforts,” said Major Evie Diaz, Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army Heartland Division. “We have hired a case manager to assist victims with getting back on their feet, and this very generous donation will lead the effort,” said Diaz.

MH Equipment CEO John Wieland made the donation on behalf of the employees of the company and shared their impetus for such a large gift. “Our hearts go out to those hurting from the November tornadoes, and the employees at MH Equipment want to help make a difference,” said Wieland. “Our foundation supports many areas of service and one area is to support non-denominational organizations whose mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ as well as meeting the physical needs of people in His Name. I can’t think of a better organization than The Salvation Army to partner with for this purpose,” said Wieland.

The Salvation Army intends to have staff designated to help with those affected by the tornadoes as long as is necessary, and will begin its long-term case work in January.  The funds from MH Equipment and His First Foundation will be used to provide generous, non-prescriptive help to families at The Salvation Army’s discretion.

“MH Equipment and His First Foundation supports many worthwhile endeavors and we wanted central Illinois to know of their unselfish giving to those in need, whether here or in other areas of the country,” said Diaz.

For more information on the gift, or The Salvation Army’s disaster efforts, contact Rich Draeger with the Salvation Army at (309) 655-1348 or Captain Katherine Clausell at (309) 655-7220.

  • Shoeboxes Full of Fun for Kids Less Fortunate

MH Equipment employees from across the Midwest generously donated to Operation Christmas Child, an annual drive sponsored by the charity Samaritan’s Purse. Shoeboxes filled of both fun and practical items for young people were gathered to be taken to children in less fortunate countries – who might not otherwise receive a gift at Christmas.

John Wieland, CEO announced that there was a total of 856 boxes, an increase of 206 boxes over last year.  The vast majority of MH branches increased their total from last year with a few branches actually doubling their total!

A feature that many are looking forward to is a code on the box that allows a donation to be tracked to its final destination.  “I’m excited to track where my box ends up, it’s for a little girl.”, said Accountant Barb Blair

All of MH is looking forward to finding out where their box ended up.  Also new this year, Uncle Si, of Duck Dynasty fame is a spokesperson for Operation Christmas Child. Take a look at his fun video explaining why he is involved.

Operation Christmas Child is operated by Samaritan’s Purse, headquartered in Boon, North Carolina. Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have received boxes from Operation Christmas Child. After they leave MH Equipment branches, they will be shipped to processing centers located in Atlanta; Charlotte; Boone, NC; Denver; Honolulu; Minneapolis; Orange County, California; and the Dallas/Fort Worth area where they will be inspected and prepared for shipment overseas.
