OTTO

OTTO by Rockwell Automation builds autonomous mobile robots designed to move materials safely through active facilities with people, forklifts, and changing layouts. OTTO autonomous mobile robots are commonly used for repetitive transport tasks such as line-side delivery, work-in-progress moves, tugger-style routes, and pallet transport where consistent throughput and predictable performance matter. OTTO Will Maximize Your Efficiency Without Sacrificing Safety

Instead of operators pushing carts or driving forklifts, OTTO's line of AMRs autonomously delivers materials safely, reliably, and efficiently. The combination of ease-of-use and sophisticated software means that OTTO AMRs can not only deliver value in short order, but also easily scale to more than 100 devices.

What OTTO is best at:

  • Reducing non-value-added travel by automating point-to-point transport and milk-run style routes.
  • Improving safety by shifting repetitive moves away from forklifts in congested areas.
  • Scaling automation gradually, starting with a single workflow and expanding over time.
  • Supporting consistent material flow for just-in-time and just-in-sequence operations.

Why OTTO?

By turning manual materials handling into robotic delivery routes, OTTO maximizes productivity and allows workers to focus on higher-value tasks. Seamlessly integrated into factory-wide workflows, OTTO tackles common material handling to and from automation equipment, people, racks, shelving, and near the floor.

Safety is a primary consideration of every OTTO deployment. Equipped with the latest laser and 3D camera sensors, OTTO AMRs are smart enough to operate autonomously even in the most dynamic manufacturing environments, and safe enough to work alongside people.

OTTO is also the most experienced AMR line in North America, trusted by dozens of top companies of different sizes and industries. Today, OTTO Motors is powering the transition to autonomous material handling for the world's most recognized brands, including GE, Ford, Amway, Berry Global, Danfoss, and more. Now as part of Rockwell Automation, OTTO is poised well for the future within an end-to-end production logistics solution.

It Starts with a Free Automation Assessment

If you would like to explore starting or extending automation in your facility, all it takes is a discussion with one of our automation specialists at MH Equipment. An automation assessment will help determine which areas would most benefit from automation. Simulations of AMRs in your facility may help identify inefficiencies early for a more successful deployment.

OTTO autonomous mobile robot lineup

MH Equipment offers five OTTO models. Selecting the right platform depends on payload weight, load type, facility layout, and whether the workflow requires pallet pickup or cart-based transport.

OTTO 100

Best for lightweight loads such as boxes, bins, small carts, and racks in high-mix environments. OTTO 100 is well suited for facilities with frequent route changes and dense pedestrian traffic.

  • Common uses: line-side delivery, kit transport, small cart moves.
  • Choose this model when loads are light and space is limited.

OTTO 600

Designed for mid-weight transport where maneuverability still matters. OTTO 600 increases payload capacity while remaining compact enough for congested aisles.

  • Common uses: cart and dolly routes; container transfers between work zones.
  • Choose this model when you need more capacity than OTTO 100 without oversizing.

OTTO 1200

Built for heavier payloads and higher-throughput routes in relatively tight environments. OTTO 1200 balances load capacity with efficient navigation around people and equipment.

  • Common uses: tugger replacement routes, heavier cart trains, material staging runs.
  • Choose this model when payload weight increases, but aisle space remains constrained.

OTTO 1500

Designed for pallet-sized loads and demanding workflows where moving more per trip drives return on investment. OTTO 1500 often replaces dedicated forklift transport on fixed routes.

  • Common uses: pallet transport, heavy equipment moves, critical replenishment routes.
  • Choose this model when payload and throughput are the primary constraints.

OTTO Lifter

Adds autonomous pallet pickup and placement capability. OTTO Lifter is designed for workflows that require the robot to lift, transport, and place pallets without manual intervention.

  • Common uses: pallet pickup and drop-off between staging, lines, and storage zones.
  • Choose this model when autonomous pallet handling is required, not just transport.

How to choose the right OTTO model

  • Start with OTTO 100 for lightweight, high-frequency routes in tight spaces.
  • Use OTTO 600 when additional payload is needed without sacrificing maneuverability.
  • Select OTTO 1200 for heavier loads in compact, high-throughput environments.
  • Choose OTTO 1500 when pallet-sized or heavy payload transport is the core workflow.
  • Use OTTO Lifter when autonomous pallet pickup and placement is required.
