Job Summary: The Warehouse Solution Manager will drive warehouse equipment and engineered solution sales in an assigned territory through our existing Material Handling Sales Team. This individual will provide our sales team expertise in warehouse solutions such as racking, conveyor, sortation, and equipment (multi-directional lift trucks, reach trucks, turret trucks, and robotics) and will actively work side-by-side with our team in the field and engage with our Engineering team and OEM partners to develop solutions and plans. This individual will be a trusted member of our sales team and will be essential in identifying and creating sales opportunities, comfortable presenting solutions to customers, and successful in achieving sales goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales team to identify opportunities for customers to improve product flow, space utilization, throughput efficiency, storage density, cycle count effectiveness, order picking, sorting, replenishment, cubing, etc.
  • Build solutions including proposals, presentations, quotes, layouts, etc.
  • Work with sales team to present solutions to customers including equipment demos.
  • Provide expert guidance and knowledge on warehouse solutions to our field sales team.
  • Be the connection for our material handling sales team, our Engineered Solutions team, and OEM partners in fostering collaboration to provide fully integrated solutions for our customers.
  • Support in the development and delivery of warehouse equipment sales training.
  • Strive to achieve sales objectives and contribute to the growth of the business.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Develop MHS’ skills to enhance their ability to sell, demonstrate, and install MHWD equipment like Combilift, Bendi, Drexel, Mariotti, Otto Motors, and other warehouse and automation partners.
  • Key contributor in customer meetings at MH Warehouse Design Center including educating customers on solutions, demoing equipment, leading fact-finding discussions, and presenting recommendations.
  • Coordinate conceptual facility drawings with OEM partners and MHES.
  • Professionally represent MH Equipment at assigned training classes, seminars, and tradeshows.
  • Keep timely and accurate records for expense control, account follow-up, and reporting to management.
  • Assist with customer visits to the MH Equipment Warehouse Design Center.
  • Using side-by-side selling and sales meeting to educate on identifying issues and solutions, presenting proposals, and promoting our offering.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience and aptitude in industrial capital solution or equipment sales, selling six to seven figure solutions to executives and committees.
  • Experience and aptitude with AutoCAD and other drawings and schematics.
  • Great interpersonal skills – displays honesty, ethics, and integrity always.
  • Ability to organize a selling plan and exhibit time management skills.
  • Competency in time and account management.
  • Strong skills in: active listening, questioning, uncovering problems and client objectives, understanding budget formations and decision-making processes, developing effective proposals and presentations, verbal communication via in-person, phone, and digital meeting, and written communication.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle with proof of insurance.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, web searches, and AutoCAD, among others.
  • Meet physical requirements per Physical Requirements of a Sales Manager.
  • Prompt and regular attendance, self–structured, sense of urgency, a will to win, ability to develop meaningful bonding and rapport, and be a team player.

Working Conditions: Work hours are flexible and may exceed a 40-hour work week as customer needs require. Some overnight travel and weekend work will be required.

The East Peoria branch office is the primary office location for this position [could be another Central Regional branch].

The Warehouse Solution Manager must have a reliable car to use for considerable travel in the territory. The position is exempt from paid overtime.
