MH Equipment Announces Acquisition of Mid-Iowa Solid Waste Equipment

Peoria, Ill. (October 31, 2023) – MH Equipment Company recently completed an agreement to acquire the Johnston, Iowa based Mid-Iowa Solid Waste Co. Inc., which sells and services environmental equipment to municipal, contractor, and business customers across Iowa and Nebraska. The products that are represented by Mid-Iowa include industrial sewer cleaning and inspection equipment, street sweepers, refuse collection vehicles, waste compactors as well as balers and conveyors used in the recycling industry. The company opened in 1975 and has grown steadily to reach $10 million in annual sales in 2022.

Mid-Iowa’s staff of 15 people became employees of MH Equipment Company on October 1. This wholly-owned subsidiary will continue normal operations as Mid-Iowa Solid Waste Equipment Company out of their same location, 5105 N.W. Beaver Drive in Johnston.
