The primary function of the Corporate Service Trainer is to teach HYG and Allied products technical training classes to our technicians in IL, IA, NE, and SD.
Job Responsibilities:
- Will primarily teach technical training classes on a continual basis for MH technicians including, but not limited to, Hyster-Yale Group (HYG) equipment technical training, Allied equipment technical training, general equipment basic electricity, hydraulics, planned maintenance, technician computer usage/diagnostics, and HYG product certification classes.
- Monitor technician onboarding activity and schedule technicians for the above classes.
- Monitor progress, skill levels, and needs relating to the CERTECH training program and make recommendations to management concerning technician development.
- Provide technical support to technicians/branches to help solve complex technical issues.
- Actively work with branch management to consistently schedule technical training classes.
- Maintain an up-to-date tech training records and calendar of available and planned classes.
- Generate and deliver reports related to technician development monthly and as required.
- Work with the other technical trainers to design, develop, and produce class curriculum, presentations, and materials necessary for training classes.
- Process necessary paperwork including invoices, handouts, certificates, training supplies, receipts, reports, expenses, etc. related to delivering classes.
- Control travel expenses and process necessary reports monthly and as often as requested.
- Deliver technical training to customer technicians as necessary, and invoice customers for those services as directed.
- Stay abreast of all industry related OSHA/forklift and MEWP safety rules and conduct equipment operator training when necessary.
- Work with HYG trainers/developers towards the improvement of training materials.
- Attend HYG and Allied product training classes as appropriate and necessary.
- Maintain Elite technician status through the HYG TKC.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or necessary to fulfill changing requirements for the position.
Job Requirements:

- Ability to design and deliver training classes and speak in front of groups.
- Have HYG Elite certification and be adept at interacting with technicians, management. and customers.

- Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Mature, flexible, and able to work with all levels of management, employees, and customers.
- Experience with and ability to use MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and necessary HYG equipment computer usage software.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Dependable transportation and ability to travel overnight.
- Able to maintain discretion/confidentiality with MH and manufacturer proprietary information.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the job.
- Present a professional image in personal appearance, conduct, and performance.
Working Conditions: This is a salaried position requiring residency in the Central or Western portion of the company (IL, NE, MO, preferably IA). Work hours are generally 7:30 to 4:30, but occasional weekends and irregular hours are required to meet training needs. Approximately 50%-75% overnight travel is required.
