JOIN MH EQUIPMENT
We’re Growing. And We’re Bringing Our People With Us.
In 1994, John Wieland purchased MH Equipment, a local dealership with about 50 employees. Today we’re 1,200+ people across 30+ locations in 11 states.
But our story has never been about getting bigger for the sake of being bigger. It’s always been about getting better, for our customers and for the people who serve them. Growth means more branches, more specialties, and more places to build a career.
Every Company Says Its Values Are More Than a Poster on the Wall.
Ours actually are.
New hires tell us they’re surprised: what they heard in the interview is what they find on the job. Our vision, mission, and values are the filter we use to run the business.
Our Stats
- 1 in 3: our hires are referred by current employees.
- 0: layoffs during COVID. We paid our people to volunteer instead.
- 50 → 1,200+: employees since 1994.

For Military Service Members
We are proud to partner with HYMH and SkillBridge in support of our military. The SkillBridge program is designed to bridge the gap between military technical skills and the material handling industry. Participants receive a structured education that covers:
- Core Systems:Â Hands-on experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics for both IC and Electric lift trucks.
- Professional Certification:Â The internship leads to the Hyster-Yale Shield Certified Technician credential, designating the participant as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Field-Ready Expertise:Â Mastering the art of on-site service and preventative maintenance to ensure our customers’ fleets stay up and running.
If you are an active service member transitioning to civilian life and looking to get invaluable work experience, reach out to our team or learn more about the program below.
It’s Not Just Forklifts.
If you think working at an equipment dealer means fixing the same forklift every day, take a look. Our technicians work on massive industrial equipment, Cummins engines, robotics and automated systems. They solve problems that take real creativity, not just a wrench.
Beyond Material Handling
MH Equipment is part of the MH Logistics portfolio, which also includes Armor Equipment, Guardian Fleet Solutions, and Louisville Switching.
Culture & Traditions
We work hard, and we show up for each other.
- Paid to Serve: When work slowed during COVID, we didn’t lay anyone off. We paid our people to volunteer in their communities.
- His First Foundation: Our charitable program supports the causes our employees are passionate about, with time and financial assistance.
- Milestones Worth Celebrating: We celebrate the people who build MH Equipment, like when a technician marks an impressive 50 years with us.
- Factory-Certified Training: Technicians earn certifications and recognition through Hyster-Yale training programs.
- Branches That Rally: When someone on the team is going through something hard, their branch shows up.
